Property tax rate would increase from 4.5mils to 5.17mils. - $2M TAX WINDFALL FOR PALM BEACH GARDENS The consultant report prepared by Palm Beach Gardens shows that the City would net $2.132 million dollars by taking our neighborhoods over. They call this “Net Anticipated Benefit of Annexation,” and it’s only the city that benefits from taking our tax dollars. NO NEW SERVICES FOR US!
- LOSS OF PROPERTY RIGHTS Homeowners would surrender their current property rights and be subject to Palm Beach Gardens rules, code enforcement, and ordinances. Fences, types of vehicles in your driveway, landscaping, paint color, boat trailers and more would become subject to Palm Beach Garden’s rule.
- MORE WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT Residents would become subject to another layer of government and be forced to pay the costs of whatever programs Palm Beach Gardens politicians enact, no matter how wasteful they might be. Palm Beach Gardens has a history of losing lawsuits and being forced to pay for bad policy decisions. With annexation, you get to help pay their next legal bill!
